School to commense

Today I received my text books. There are 14 books, more than 10000 pages, I'll have to read and memorize and assimilate by the time testing come around next year. WTF have I gotten myself into? Am I really ready for this?

Oh, and there's another thing. I need a new computer. Yes, that's right, I need a new computer. Along with the books came a CD that is only compatable with PC. WTF? Why aren't school making their material compatable with Mac? After all, Mac is the better platform for students, and it can do sooooooo much more than a PC can. You'd really think that a university would want to make their software compatable with all platforms, right?

So, here I am with hat in hand looking for assistance. The VA hasn't authorized my program yet, and I'm up shite creek without a paddle when it comes to purchasing a new laptop. If you're feeling generous, I'd really appreciate your assistance. I need to raise $2800 in order to purchase a new laptop (I say laptop because my flat isn't big enough to support a desktop) that will be compatable with the software that the university has provided. If you'll recall, the current exchange rate is appalling. That is why I am asking for so much assistance. The cost of the sytem I need is £1,346.55 + 17.5% VAT (tax), though to be perfectly honest, I think the VAT is included in the price. The computer company was magnanimous in offering "free" shipping, so I don't have to pay for that.

If you think you can, or would like to help, please let me know. I appreciate your assistance!

Teddy

Oh, so you know what the current exchange rate is, I've added a link to XE.com at the upper right of this blog above the Google Ad. XE is the most accurate exchange rate site available with updates every minute.
