I'm sitting here eating a bowl of blueberries and I find myself wondering a couple things.
First, why are blueberries called blueberries when they're purple?
Second, how is it they're so damned tasty?
The first question leads me to so many more. Who decides the names of fruits and veg? Strawberry, raspberry, kiwi, blackberry (ok, that one makes sense), etc. I mean honestly, strawberries aren't made of straw, and raspberries aren't raspy, kiwis aren't made of little creepy birds with long slender snouts. Why do we name the things in our lives what we name them?
