The Day of Reckoning

The day of reckoning has arrived. In a little more than 12 hours I'll be up up and away in a Boeing 777 heading off to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Hmmm, I guess the other nations don't deserve mentioning in the official title of the country. How rude. LOL

I just finished a last minute frenetic packing spree, which is my usual way of doing things.

You down with OCD? Yeah you know me!

I'm finally settling down for a nice 3 - 4 hour nap, but I figured I'd post this before I pop off to slumber land. Once I do wake up all hell will break loose as my final spate of nervousness will kick in and I'll probably tear apart my bags again and repack them one or two more times. I'm sure I'll forget something and I'll remember as the aircraft is taxiing down the runway and I'll kick myself in the ass for having to spend twice as much money in London to buy the very same thing I already have! But that's the way things work, and I've learned to deal with it.

Ok, so those of you who take the time to read this, I want to give you forewarning now that I fully intend to switch over to "proper English" spelling once I've landed in the UK. But for now, I won't subject you to words like "learnt" in place of "learned" and "whilst" in place of "while." However, you will see them in the future, so get used to the idea of someone throwing themselves fully into the language (hmmm, English, shouldn't be that hard to learn) like the students at DLI are supposed to do.

Well, it's time to retire. 0345 is too f*cking late to be up. God damn OCD, why do you make me do this everytime I fly somewhere?

Ta ta for now!
