First in a line

Well, this is the first in a line of blogs that I hope to maintain regularly while I am living in London attending university. I can't guarantee that I'll be able to since I'll be studying (yeah right) like mad for the next 3 years, but I have every intention to keep you all up to date on my daily comings and goings. Without further delay let's begin...

On 21 August I fly out of San Francisco for a nice leisurely 10+ hour flight to London Healthrow. I'm in a bit of an awkward situation. On the one hand I'm excited to be traveling off to far off lands and live a life I please. On the other hand I don't really like flying in a tin can for that length of time, especially on a United Airlines aircraft. Sorry to slam United, but I know their aircraft are pure rubbish, like their service. They're old and poorly maintained. Not really my cup of tea. I prefer to fly on a newer aircraft and survive.

Now I've been living in my family's home for the last 2 months before I take off for the UK. It's been a hoot. Trust me when I say that I'm full of sarcasm here. My mother has been driving me absolutely batty! She's a perfectionist. Full disclosure here, I'm obsessive-compulsive and take medication to limit the symptoms. My mother, she blows me out of the water. I like to take things easy and move at a slow and steady pace, but that's not good enough. Mom wants everything done now, and done her way. No ifs, ands or buts, if I don't do it right away she's all over my case! Back off and take it easy. I get things done, and they're done right and on time so let me be and let me do it my way and in my time line. In all honesty, I'm excited to be moving and frankly I can't wait to be on my own again! LOL Love you mom!
